George D. "Chip" Holland, CLU
Chip began his insurance career in 1977 working for a carrier after graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in Economics. He established Life & Health Underwriters, Inc. in 1990 and continues to serve as its president. Chip has been a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals since 1982, and a member of the National Association of Life Underwriters since 1981.
William R. Sanden, CLU
Bill has over 25 years experience in the employee benefits field, specializing in pension, profit sharing, and 401(k) plans as well as self-funded health and welfare plans for large corporate clients. Prior to joining Life & Health Underwriters, Bill was president of Fortune Management, Inc., an employee benefits consulting firm located in Lynnwood, WA. Previously Bill served as vice president of marketing for National Associates, Inc. N.W. for 17 years. Bill is a graduate of the American College at Bryn Mawr, PA, and is a Certified Life Underwriter.
Nancy F. Nichols
Nancy began her insurance career in 1983 after graduating from the University of Montana with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1978, and the University of Oregon with a M.B.A. in Management in 1981. She joined Life & Health Underwriters in 1991 as an account executive after working the prior eight years at a large third-party administrator as an account manager. She has extensive experience managing large self-funded plans.
Michelle M. Kent
Michelle started her insurance career as a benefits coordinator for a local manufacturer in 1984. After four years in human resources, she worked for a large third-party administrator as an account manager. In 1998, after ten years of self-funded health care plan administration, she joined Life & Health Underwriters as an account executive.
Cheryl D. Alexander
Cheryl has continuously worked in the insurance field since 1979, when she began her career with a large insurance company. She has been a fellow of the Life Management Institute since 1985. Cheryl joined Life & Health Underwriters in 1997 as an account manager specializing in individual policies and small group benefit programs.
Stephen C. Gay
Steve has over 23 years of insurance experience. He began his career in 1979 as a life and health agent with a national insurance carrier. For the last 20 years he has specialized in the group insurance field working for carriers such as CIGNA where he was the sales manager of their HMO plan. Additionally, he spent three years as the benefits manager for a local large employer implementing and overseeing their self-insured benefit plans. Prior to joining Life & Health Underwriters Steve spent over three years with First Choice Health as a senior account executive working with large brokerage firms and their fully insured and self-funded clients.
Jolie Berrier, CEBS
Jolie joined Life & Health Underwriters in 2002 after working for a local insurance broker/consultant as a senior account manager. She has been in the employee benefits/insurance field since 1984, primarily on the brokerage side. Jolie holds a degree in marketing from California State University Sacramento, and has been a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist since 1991, serving as president of the local CEBS chapter. She also serves on the national planning committee for the ISCEBS annual symposium.
